I attended IMG Academy's 3 week long basketball camp and I enjoyed it a lot. To tell the truth, it was a very intense cam

p because we were trained by the current coaches of the IMG teams. I was glad to have this experience because this showed that IMG was taking it seriously and did not em

ploy new people to manage the summer camp but instead the real coaches were they to train us. Indeed I as not only trained in basketball playing skills but also in mental conditioning, psychological resilience and nutrition. Leadership was another core subject throughout the camp since I chose it as an elective. Our mental conditioning coach Kristie Alvarez, told me and even wrote on my campus app that she loved my way of thinking and contribution to the game with positive self-talk. This was really encouraging for me and she also added that she observed how I dealt with my teammates negative talk by check-challenge-change method.  On another occasion, Coach Oz appreciated my attention to detail, and excellence and how I lifted and led the group. They called me as a humble and focused leader and I think this was the most encouraging two words for me. Overall, living with my roommates in the IMG campus and training both physically and mentally made me grow. During the upcoming season of 2024-2025, I'll practise all my learnings on and outside the court.
