London, A Surprise, and Unexpected Discoveries
In February, I traveled to London to surprise my sister for her birthday. It was a short trip, but it turned into something more meaningful than I expected.
At the same time, I had a school assignment called Culture Mushroom, which required me to attend a cultural activity and reflect on it. Instead of choosing something obvious, I ended up visiting a place I hadn’t heard much about before: the The Wallace Collection.

Located in a historic townhouse, the museum felt very different from the larger, more crowded museums in London. It has an intimate atmosphere, and the collection itself is quite diverse—ranging from classical paintings to detailed arms and armor. What I found interesting was not just the objects, but the setting. It feels less like a formal museum and more like walking through someone’s private collection.
After that, I watched Shadowlands. The play is based on the life of C. S. Lewis, the author of The Chronicles of Narnia. It focuses on his later life and his relationship with Joy Davidman.

I found the first half a bit slow, but the second half was much more powerful. As the story developed, the emotional depth became clearer, and the performances stood out more. The actors managed to present a very personal story in a simple but effective way.
Overall, the trip reminded me that sometimes the most memorable experiences are not the ones you plan in detail, but the ones you come across along the way.
