ALL OF OUR BEHAVIOURS CHANGE OUR BRAIN, EVEN WHEN WE ARE ADULTS. THIS IS NEUROPLASTICITY.

Inspired by Laura Boyd's Ted Talk in Vancouver. She's a Professor from the University of British Columbia and I think this video would be very useful to believe in the power of our brain and our learning capacity.

In summary: Brain actually signals with neurons (chemical signalling) and let us learn within a short term memory and motor skills. Secondly, there are long term learnigns which change our brain physically, such as learning playing the piano. Long-term memories take time so when you play the piano that day you might learn the piece but the other day you might not be ready to play right away or your knowledge has not been consolidated yet.

Another useful videos is from Stanford Professor Carol Dweck: Developing a Growth Mindset

She talks about 10 year old kids who are facing challenge and some of them were very eager to take the challenge (growth mindset), while the others were happy with the challenge (growth mindset and the power of not yet). So, making mistakes, processing it and learning from it something the researchers can capture on the human brain with MRI's!!!
