I've become the captain of Lima Sports Club as of this season of 2024-2025 and I'm super excited about it. Just recently, I've learned that we will be joining the European Youth Basketball League again, but it'll be different for me this year as the captain of the team because this role will give me even more responsibilities.

We'll compete in Warsaw, Poland during 7-10 Dec 2024 and in the new year we'll be in Budapest, Hungary. We were again in Budapest last year and then in Monza, Italy. Overall, we played good games but were a comparatively new team of U14 and maybe this was why I believe our performance could have been better if we'd known each other for longer. However, besides the court we became close with my teammates while walking down the street of Budapest, looking for sports shoes shops or going around the city with a guide and test each other on our knowledge of the common history between Turkey and Hungary. On the other hand, our travel to Monza was great as well because it was in June, and the weather was really nice. We had time to visit Milano and spent time in the Navigli area, where the river flows and lots of university students from Bocconi etc hang out.

My family used to live in Milan years ago, even before I was born and this is why it was a nice experience for me as well to experience the city: Moreover, my father and my sister, who studies at Warwick University in the UK came over to watch my games and support me.

I am looking forward to our new games and I'll do my best to lead the team and perform better than we did last year. On the other hand, I've already started to search for Warsaw and can't wait to add an another very nice and interesting city of culture and history to my travelling experience. Stay tuned :)
